Inside the Phoenix City Council Chambers, guest speakers from various backgrounds and expertise will present quick, informative 20 minutes presentations on:  aquaponics, urban farming, nutrition, the GoodFoodFinder, edible landscaping, and ending hunger.  Workshops run from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m.  Click here for more details.

The outdoor Food Day Cafe will feature Devour Phoenix local restaurants with food samples  and information on creating a variety of ethnic foods that are healthy, easy, affordable, and perfect for the family on the go.  Entry into the Cafe is free and visitors can purchase $1 food tickets to use for samples.  100% of the proceeds go towards the exhibitors’ food costs.

And at noon, the FitPHX program will host the third annual “Apple Crunch” in an attempt to set a record for the most participants in an apple-crunching event in downtown Phoenix!

Enjoy all the great activities, and be sure to stop by our booth to say hello and pick up a complimentary packet of seeds to help us “grow!”
